McHacks 2017 will be happening January 28th to 29th at McGill's SSMU building in Montreal, Canada. This will be the fourth ediiton of McHacks with more than 600 hackers coming from all across North America to innovate, create and inspire. Teams will have access to software and hardware (presented by WearHacks) during the entirety of the event, hacking begins at 12:00PM on the 28th and ends at 9:00AM on the 29th. All submissions must be submittted on Devpost before 9:00AM. 

Eligibility

If you applied to McHacks 17, received an acceptance and also confirmed that you will be coming, you are eligible to attend McHacks. If you attended and hacked at McHacks, then you are eligible to make a submission. 

Each team must consist of no more than 4 members.

Requirements

You must include videos, photos, or screenshots of the working product and a link to the source code (GitHub, etc.) of your project.

  • Creativity and Originality
    Is this hack something new? Is it a creative use of technology? Is it a novel idea?
  • Technical Difficulty
    Which technologies did you use? How technically challenging is it? Which part of the project did you make? (Non-API)
  • Enjoyment and Polish
    Is the hack fun to use? Is the interface polished? Is the user experience fun to use?
  • Practicality and Usefulness
    Is the hack useful? Does it raise social awareness or help under-privileged and under-represented people in any way?
